Young Lebanese designers in Paris (Maison & Objet 2018)

Lebanon is one of the countries introducing the world to the new Middle East - developing, international and open. Local designers in their works have left from obvious ethnic methods long ago. While they received an education and skills in different parts of the world - from Switzerland to the USA - and have returned to their home country, they synthesize the western and eastern approach in the craft and reveal their own recognizable style and vision. Design Mate team met with the main figures of modern Lebanese design - the duo Caramel, Marc Dibe, Carla Baz, Karl Massoud, Anastasia Nisten and Paola Sacre. Together with Joy Mardini, the founder of one of the main galleries in Lebanon, we found out how has the language of a multicultural region been formulated.
