La Cambre: Belgian School of Architecture and Visual Arts
Brussels school La Cambre is like a relaxed version of the Bauhaus. The founder and first director of La Cambre is Henri van de Velde, a designer and architect, whose life has been geographically divided into two periods: the Belgian and the German. Similarly, at La Cambre, accuracy and structure live alongside the flight of fantasy and early techniques. Since 1927, they have been teaching creativity in all directions, from printing and textiles to design and interior architecture. Kevin Salade introduced Design Mate to students and teachers in the school, and also showed us some of the audiences and experimental labs.
We are grateful to Ekaterina Limonad for the interview organization.
