Gio Ponti Magnified by Richard Ginori in Paris
An immersive exhibition of Gio Ponti living ornaments from the porcelain masterpieces of the Italian manufacture Richard Ginori took place at the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris in January, anticipating one of the most striking design expositions of this year. The classical sets of Richard Ginori have not changed since the 1740s. Ginori porcelain has become a common word for all porcelain in general, and every second Italian family has something from the manufactory at home. The factory is engaged not only in the creation of almost always iconic collections, but also anxiously preserves the traditions of table setting.
Giovanni Giuchedi, Richard Ginori CEO, told us how the manufactory seeks a balance between tradition and modernity, and how to explain the value of the most beautiful porcelain service to young generations.
